Nirmal Gram Abhiyaan

Nirmal Gram Abhiyaan should be implemented as a movement in every village and every house in the village. Om Adinath Sanstha has convinced people that Nirmal Gram Abhiyan is the foundation of the village development movement. The government has paid special attention to the development of villages. Om Adinath Sanstha has also inculcated in the society that Gram Swachhta Abhiyan and Nirmal Gram Puraskar Yojana are really important for development. The then Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra RR Patil has given a great vision through Swachhta Abhiyan. RR Patil’s village Anjani, who gave the mantra of cleanliness to the entire country, has made a great contribution in getting the “Nirmal Village Award” by the Om Adinath Sanstha, which took the initiative to free the people from hagandari. Even though it is a patriarchal culture, men have as much rights. Women have the same rights. Gram sabha has given many rights to women. Rights should be exercised by women. The needs of the village should be recognized and worked. When the whole village cooperately takes up any task, that task is completed. Honmore has impressed upon the villagers that Om Adinath Sanstha only guides. Through Om Adinath Sanstha, hundreds of villages have been freed from the hagandari and have received the Nirmal Gram Award. A cleanliness campaign has been implemented in that village. Today hundreds of these villages are known for being clean and beautiful hagandari free.

What is Rain Water Harvesting?

Rainwater harvesting is the simple process or technology used to conserve rainwater by collecting, storing, conveying and purifying of rainwater that runs off from rooftops, parks, roads, open grounds, etc. for later use. Here, let us have a look at the diagram of rainwater harvesting system.

The process of rainwater harvesting involves the collection and the storage of rainwater with the help of artificially designed systems that run off naturally or man-made catchment areas like- the rooftop, compounds, rock surface, hill slopes, artificially repaired impervious or semi-pervious land surface.

The rainwater harvesting system is one of the best methods practised and followed to support the conservation of water. Today, scarcity of good quality water has become a significant cause of concern. However, rainwater, which is pure and of good quality, can be used for irrigation, washing, cleaning, bathing, cooking and also for other livestock requirements.
